Our Vocation

Our vocation is not a career. It is a way of life, motivated by intense love of God. Our apostolate, caring for incurable cancer patients who cannot afford the care they need, is a reflection of our religious life and a response to Christ's call to serve the poor. The work generally is very naturally rewarding to those who love to make someone comfortable, to have the joy of seeing someone peaceful at the time of death, or to help a patient's family as they try to deal with the impending loss of a loved one. But a woman cannot base her entire life in her vocation on this natural feeling of reward, because it won't always be there.

Our vocation is a way to live out our consecration to God. That is of first importance.
