As Dominican Sisters, we continue the work of Saint Dominic today in an active and contemplative life. Our first mission is to actively witness to the primacy of God in our lives through prayer and service.
As members of the Order of Preachers, we preach the Gospel of Life by our service to the poor with incurable cancer. Through this work we help spread the Church's teaching on the sacredness of life and the value of suffering, and challenge the increasing acceptance of euthanasia within our society.
Today, the Church calls religious to proclaim the
message of Christ with new vigor. Our commitment to the sacredness
of life from conception until death is extremely important in our
society today. We continue to follow in the steps of our foundress,
Mother Mary Alphonsa (Rose Hawthorne) and remain true to our charism.
We try to maintain our Homes in the way Mother Mary Alphonsa exhorted
us “put them in such a condition…"
