Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cancer Home has been operating in Atlanta since 1939, yet many people do not know about the amazing work of the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne.
This short video was produced and published by the Archdiocese of Atlanta.
It features our sisters at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home. "Our Home in the South", as we like to call it, has been a witness to God's love and mercy since 1939.
Praised be God for His countless blessings toward us!
We have been blessed with a nice and warm roof, plenty of food, water and clothing for our guests (the poor with incurable cancer) and the sisters. However, there are many people who do not yet receive these basic necessities. In Christian Charity and with a grateful heart we decided to reach out and share some of our blessings. We supported the efforts of Holy Rosary Catholic Church's Midnight Run Group to provide some assistance to the homeless. The Sisters prepared 100 sandwiches with chips, cookies, and other goodies to share with the poor.
